Nigeria has produced many successful gospel music artists, including Bola Are, Sammie Okposo, Buchi, Tope Alabi, Yinka Ayefele, Nathaniel Bassey, and Dunsin Oyekan. These veterans have paved the way for a new wave of young Nigerian gospel artists making a name for themselves in the industry.

While many new artists are emerging, this list highlights the top 10 young Nigerian gospel artists under 40.

Mercy Chinwo Blessed

Mercy Chinwo Blessed is a well-known gospel singer from Rivers State, Nigeria. After trying her hand at movies and secular music, Mercy gained fame with her first single “Testimony” in 2015.

She signed with EeZee Conceptz and released her debut album “The Cross My Gaze” in 2018. Mercy has won several awards, including the CLIMAX and AFRIMMA awards. She is married to Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, the Resident Pastor of “The Waterbrook Church.”

Ada Ehi

Ada Ogochukwu Ehi is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter and performer who started her musical career at the age of 10. She gained local and international popularity through her songs and music videos, and her third studio album, Future Now, claimed the number-one spot on iTunes Nigeria on the same day it debuted.
